Regarding the seal hunt, I am fairly sure that if more Canadians would take the time to learn the true reality of what goes on in Newfoundland every March/April, they would do something to stop it.

Please see this press release from Humane Society International (Canada) on the senseless slaying of two hundred seal pups on Hay Island, Nova Scotia.
